When Should You Let Go of A High Performer


If you have a high performer in your business, meaning they generate a lot of revenue, is there ever a time when you should let them go? I think there is, and I'll explain why. Last weekend, after UFC 304, Dana White, the UFC President, let go of an undefeated fighter who was 13:0 as a professional fighter. Some people say he was a tremendous up-and-coming fighter, but his antics outside of the octagon created a lot of work for the UFC team. When Dana White weighed the positives and negatives of keeping or letting him go, letting him go was the best option for all concerned. I think this is how every business should evaluate every team member, regardless of how much money they bring in. Are they team players?
